Thx for all you answers!!!
Check out this site for naming your Maltese puppy: www.malteseonly.com/names.html.
(I’m partial to "Abracadabra" myself)
Good luck and let us know what you decide!
i want to find a puppy under $300
i have looked on petfinder.com
no luck there
i have looked at my local animal shelter
no luck there
i would like to find on near Luray(luray caverns)
it can be a mixed breed
it doesnot have to be pure breed
i want a small dog that looks like that
You won’t find any "well bred" Maltese dogs for that price – you may find one from a BYB (back yard breeder) for AROUND that price but the dog won’t be healthy and you won’t have any behavior/health assurances, so i wouldn’t bother with it.
A pet quality puppy from a show breeder (with genetic health assurances, proper conformation, health guarantees, etc) will be in the $800 range. But that price gets you a puppy from genetically healthy parents, a genetic guarantee of the puppies lifetime, assurance that the dog is conformationally correct, etc. And you wouldn’t be supporting irresponsible breeding or dog ownership.
So either be patient and wait for a dog to come along that you can adopt, travel to out of town shelters, or look around for a good breeder.
PS – I hope you don’t have a budget. You’ll be spending a BUNCH of money on initial supplies (about $200), first vet check ($50-$200 or more), monthly fees ($150), and there are always possible emergency fees ($1,000 or more.)
just asking.. thanks….
I’m sure you can buy one from the states and then have it shipped. On a second though I think they have restrictions for pets being shipped for over 24 hours. But anyway try this website and ask about their shipping restrictions. www.buypuppiesdirect.com

i am looking for a web site that will answer all my silly questions I have about her and her puppies. do you know of a web site for me to get information on my maltese giving birth to 3 pups
Does your vet have a website? That’s the only person you should be asking "silly questions" to.
Call your vet.
Call your vet.
Call your vet, call your vet, call your veeeeeeeeet…
Can we make a song with that as the chorus? How many times do people on here have to say this? Where was your vet in this whole pregnancy process? Shouldn’t they be able to answer any question you have in full detail?
Sheesh. Call your vet and ask.
she wines whenever she cant see me. my mom cant take her out with her b/c she wimpers the whole time. she does the same when im in the other room and she cant get to me. is there a cure?
well you just cant help it…she’ll just wine for a few min and then be fine. It takes time. They have to get used to you being gone and then coming back. In the beginning my dog would be all sad…my in-law told me she was staying by the door crying but she got used to it. She knows that ill be back.
good luck sweetie. I know it breaks your heart to see her cry but she isnt used to it yet. and my pup is now 3 and my puppy still jumps and acts crazy when im about to leave (during the day or night) in the morning when im going to work she doesnt care…shes still sleeping…doesnt even lift her head to see me..lol
shes used to me going to work in the morning…at night or day its diff since i dotn always go out…so dont worry
good luck
Are the parents at least 2 yrs old?
(should be at least 2 yrs old)
Are they show dogs or at least within the standard for the breed?
(Undesireable faults & traits should not be used for breeding. And there is no such thing as Oversized or Teacup, it’s just a sugar coated way of saying NOT WITHIN STANDARD)
Are the parents health tested?
(standard health testing and breed specific health screening)
Any hereditary issues in the pedigree?
(if they don’t know the pedigree, find another breeder)
How many litters has this female had?
(if bred before 2 and had more than 1 litter a year, find another breeder)
How many other dogs do you have?
How many different breeds do you breed?
(If they breed more than 2 breeds, find another breeder)
What type of health guarantee do they give?
(If no reasonable guarantee, look elsewhere)
If you can’t keep it when it’s like 5 will the breeder take it?
(If they won’t rescue their own, they shouldn’t be breeding)
Just my opinion
