(should be at least 2 yrs old)

Are they show dogs or at least within the standard for the breed?
(Undesireable faults & traits should not be used for breeding. And there is no such thing as Oversized or Teacup, it’s just a sugar coated way of saying NOT WITHIN STANDARD)

Are the parents health tested?
(standard health testing and breed specific health screening)

Any hereditary issues in the pedigree?
(if they don’t know the pedigree, find another breeder)

How many litters has this female had?
(if bred before 2 and had more than 1 litter a year, find another breeder)

How many other dogs do you have?

How many different breeds do you breed?
(If they breed more than 2 breeds, find another breeder)

What type of health guarantee do they give?
(If no reasonable guarantee, look elsewhere)

If you can’t keep it when it’s like 5 will the breeder take it?
(If they won’t rescue their own, they shouldn’t be breeding)

umm.. well i have a maltese puppy (i had one before too) the puppy i have right now (sammy) will bark and growl but after a little while he gets used to it same with dogs too. But my other maltese(gracie) didn’t so well. I guess it depends.. good luck! I LOVE maltese’s sweetest and cutest dogs ever!

they are 4 months old. When I got them they were living on a porch, able to go out a doggy door to the fenced in yard. I can’t let them do that. I can’t always walk them. They go on the paper sometimes or on the patio porch wherever. I walk them to the paper and sometimes they go, when I’m not around they go where they want, and the paper at times. Should I crate them all the time and let them out only to go to the bathroom?

try tieing them up outside (if they are used to leashes) and let them go out then (make sure after u feed and water them u take them out to go to the bathroom) and take them out atleast 3 times a day and if water and food runs right through them try taking them out every 2 hours

There is no such thing as a toy maltese. Just ask any quality Maltese breeder.
