English Bulldog Puppies for adoption?
I’ll get straight to the point.
There are three english bulldog puppies at the pound 12 weeks and they have been marked for being put down. There’s nothing wrong with them, I’ve seen them myself and the vet at the pound said they are in perfect health, no one around just likes English Bulldogs. (I love all dogs.)
I am heavily considering adopting them, they will most certainly get a ton of attention from me. (I work out of my home, they will hardly be left alone.)
The environment they will live in:
4 room apartment (pet allowed), lots of pillows everywhere (For some reason I just have lots of pillows). The living room has two couches and a recliner, and a mounted wall TV. The bedroom is just several mattresses stacked on top of each other. I keep the place relatively clean, just very cluttered with things like pillows and blankets. If they want to (a question I would like answered if dogs sleep in the same bed usually) they would be allowed to sleep with me, I just need to make arrangements for that.
I’ve got a room that really isn’t used that I can also set up, it is so far going to be used for feeding and dog toy storage, etc.
The rooms themself are actually *pretty* big, so they won’t be too confined. I just really don’t see them getting outside ALOT, like I’ll take them walking probably at least once a day, the rest would be playing inside.
I have a ton of money for vet bills, etc. My job pays quite well, plus lets me stay home with them.
Are English Bulldogs good for this lifestyle?
English are excellent low energy dogs, for those who like low energy, however, three puppies at one time is a big undertaking. English are not the easiest dogs to manage, being somewhat hard headed, and they do best with experienced and knowledgeable handlers who understand the entire Pack Leader Energy equation. Three such puppies raised without firm Leadership will most certainly turn into a nightmare.
If you are an experienced owner, and have the time and commitment, this can work out. If, on the other hand, you are a first time inexperienced dog owner, I wouldn’t suggest even one of these dogs as a starter dog, much less three.
Good dogs are not about love, good dogs are about Leadership.

Considering that you’ve got the time and finances.. I think you’d be fine.
Im surprised no one is interested in adopting them! Bulldogs are very expensive dogs!

I never had them, but I did know someone who lived in a condo who did and they were fine. Since they are puppies, I wouldn’t leave the pillows laying around as they will probably chew. And as long as you are allowed to have pets, why not? Just make sure you can afford their vet care and to feed them, and give them lots of love and affection otherwise it’s not fair to them.

Just remember to be a firm leader to all of them. Bulldogs can be stubborn and they need a strong leader who is more stubborn to teach them manners.
Your set-up sounds pretty sweet, I’d want to live there if I was a pup.
Also, if you don’t want to take all three I’d be more than happy to adopt one. I’ve always wanted a bulldog.

I raise English Bulldogs and they are the best breed by far. They love to cuddle and be around their owners. They dont need a lot of exercise cause it is bad for thier health just about 20-30 mins at a time. They dont do good in hot weather. They are the sweetest dogs.
How old are the puppies?
