How do I find French Bulldog breeder in Eastern canada, and is it wrong to ship dogs?

I am looking for a puppy French bulldog to buy and I can’t seem to find any breeders in or around my area. I was wondering if it would be morally wrong to buy a pup from somewhere in the US and ship it to Montreal. I heard that some puppies die in the cargo area of planes because it gets very cold. Does anyone know if it’s safe to ship puppies and if there are any French Bulldog breeders in my area?
Thanks.

Call your provincial kennel club. Many of them have websites listing breeders.

I found a breeder in New Brunswick, if you would like to contact me.

Frenchies are sensitive to temperature extremes, and are prone to respiratory problems due to their short snout.

Plane transportation is probably not a very good idea.

Pick up a copy of dogs in canada annual and you will find your breeders. You may have a little wait for the next litter but there are breeders.

It is not wrong to ship a dog per se but you are talking about a very young dog and that could be hard on the little fellow. I would keep trying locally and check out the shows.

    Hi there,
We got our Frenchie from http://www.puppyfind.com She was flown into our local airport and did just fine. You can do a location search and find a breeder close from there.
Good Luck! We just love ours!
