How much should I charge for my French Bulldog puppies?
I have bred my French Bulldogs she is having 4 pups. The Father holds a international championship show bloodline, hungarian and european show dog with all necessary papers. He is also certified for breeding. I paid $2,400 for him. I have a female who is also a full breed, but has no papers. The person I got her from lost her papers when they moved home. How much should I charge for the puppies? They are very well taken care of dog’s.
I saw the papers before they where lost. Also I have put a lot into both dogs. I had her examined and she is not going to require a c-section.
I am located in Germany…
When you breed an animal, it is to better the species, not make a profit. French Bulldogs almost ALWAYS require a c-section due to the size of the puppies heads, so I don’t know why your vet would say that she doesn’t. This procedure is partly why they sometimes run for more than other breeds, because the breeder wants to try and break even, not get rich.
Also, if the mother has no papers, there is no proof that she is purebred, so this means the puppies are not legally purebred and that they might as well be labelled as mixed breeds.
Since you have taken good care of them and they are in presumably good health, get them vet checked and offer them for around $750 USD, and please check with your vet and ask him/her to perform a C-section otherwise you will probably lose the puppies.
Good luck!

With no papers on the mother, the puppies are basically mutts. With no proof that they’re purebred, you can’t sell them as purebred. In fact, I think in some countries it’s actually illegal to list dogs as purebred that don’t have papers to prove it.
I would charge however much you put into them. What genetic testing did you do on the parents to ensure that the puppies would be healthy? There a good chance you’ll need a C-section. If the puppies are sold with first shots and neuter/spay, figure that into the price of the puppies.
I’d say about $200 apiece, but again, it depends on what you’ve put into them.
Good luck!

Losing papers sounds suspicious, do they know her registered name if so try looking her up she may be on the net somewhere. $600 sounds right to me for frenchies if you can find her papers and get the pups registered by all means risk $1000 (someone may pay for that)

"Lost papers"? And you believe that? If the dog truly does have a pedigree you can get a new set of papers. Your pups are pretty much worthless without it and since people can go to a shelter and get a dog for about $100 that’s spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, microchipped, etc, why would they take your pups with a questionable and most likely not purebred background?

Bot sure how much to charge for them,, but no papers no proof,, and truthfully the #1 excuse used often by puppy mils, BYB and brokers.. to sell pups without papers… so reguardless if this is or is not your situation.. you are stuck with a litter of undoumented unregestered dogs,, so really in all honesty cannot sell them a "purebred" sorry..
If the papers where lost,, you spent a lot on a quality male,, so GO back to that person and get your girls info.. HONESTLY if her "papers" where lost it is very simple to get copies???? both the origional litter application, individual application and registration certificate can be REISSUED.. VERY simple to do.. and you could have had papers on the litter.. If she lost the papers she should have a copy of the litter application, or somthing.. there are record keeping reqirements on dogs,, with all of the registries..if not.. hate to say it,,you where ripped off,, reguardless if you "saw" them at some point.. the dog is probably not registered.. or there is a "reason" the papers are not in your possesion.. Pehaps the whole litter had the registration revoked,, by the registry.. or the breeder has had her litters revoked due to some misconduct..
At this point, you have bred your girl,, so have attested by that fact you feel she is of breeding quality.. papers or no..so unfortunally you may not have any recourse with her breeder.. Her current litter may or may not be able to be proactivly registered,, depending on her status.. but if she was registered.. there is ways to get COPIES.. of them.. if they where simply lost..
