Are pomeranian puppies/ dogs a good breed to have?
i want to get a pomeranian puppy or dog
but i would like some more information on them
is it better to get a male or female?
I would prefer a female, just because you don’t get random "red rockets".
They are usually very hyper and they bark a lot, at least mine does. They are very loving though, and they will always be there for you.

The gender of a dog does not make too much difference provided you have your pet spayed or neutered at a young age. If you want more information on this breed, look it up and most sites will tell you about grooming needs, health problems if any and the general temperament.

I haven’t had one myself but know a few. One called Foxy had only 3 legs. Her owner adopted her from some shelter. They used to go jogging, yes on three legs. She was very active in her prime.
Male tends to have a better coat. It’s very significant in small toy dogs. I used to think it would be better to have males but after taking in a little female kitten recently I do have a soft spot for female animals. Once they are fixed it boils down to the character and personality. If it was a puppy then you wouldn’t know until much later. But if you went for an adult dog you can readily judge there and then.

I have had two poms, and they’ve been great!! and adorable
they’re both girls. the only problems I’ve ever had is that they bark whenever someone comes to the door or passes through our yard, and you have to groom them alot or they will get matted…but other than that they are well behaved and smart. good watch dog that thinks they’re bigger than they actually are.

Poms are very sweet and do need a great deal of grooming. But please note they have one very bad habt which is hard to break. They really do Bark a lot which can be very annoying to both the owner and the neighbors.
