How much are pug puppies?
I really want a pug puppy, we live in England, I’m after a bitch, either a pedigree or not, but wondered what the price of them are?
im guessing the stars mean you want a female ![]()
I was lucky to get a 1 1/4 year old pug girl that was un-neutered for 200 pounds because to owners just wanted her to go to a good home, she had a yeast infection (her belly hair was missing) but i’ve helped her grown it all back and she looks like a new pug.
most pugs can be bought for 1,200 pounds or less, some sell them for 500-800, but you could get a Puggle (pugXbeagle), Chug (pugXchihuahua), Jug (pugXjackrussell) etc. for much less (200-500 pounds), some will look more like the pug than the mix, the best place to find pugs are;

You could get a pug from a shelter. They’ll cost maybe $200 – $300 & the dogs there are usually great. =]

In the UK, I doubt you’d get a purebred puppy from a good breeder, of any breed for less than £500. Go to Champdogs and check out the average prices, if quoted – some breeders don’t quote !! But as they say, if you have to ask, you can’t afford …… and remember, the buy in price is only the start.
It will be worth saving up for a good one however and I’d caution you about buying anything that looks like a bargain. Chances are you’d be buying into a BYB puppy and end up with the potential for medical and temperament problems.
Contact the Breed Club and ask for the names of reputable breeders – and then save up for a good ‘un.

If you buy a cheap pug then you are gona have problems. You need to spend about 800 minimum to get one that’s pedigree with all the papers, other wise that breed of dog can encounter endless problems with it’s spine and bowels, due to all the cross breeding they had to do to produce them dogs in the first place

Pugs are just as any other breed, they range in price according to what location you obtained them, the quality of their lines and the morals of their breeders.
Here in the US (missouri)
They range from free if you get one from a pound or shelter to 2500 dollars.

I paid £1200 for mine: And regretted it ever since! Pugs are very prone to breathing and eye problems, i have spent 5 times the cost of buying my pug on vets bills alone THIS YEAR!
Buy a mix.

Look up the Breed Rescue ! Remember a pug is an animal with a deformed face, and inbuilt breathing problems, who’s been bred that way on purpose to look "cute". Don’t encourage breeders to perpetuate disabilities in the name of fashion.
