Petfinder.com
There are millions of animals looking for a good home on there.
All you gotta do is type in your zip code and it will show you local shelters and resue organizations!
It also shows you pictures which is very helpful!
Then all you have to pay is the adoption fee which can range from anywhere from $20-$100.
Thats where I found my puppy!

If your dad just loves dogs in general, you really should consider going to an animal shelter to adopt a pet. There are so many who need good, loving homes. I’ve adopted 2 of the best dogs ever from the shelter where I’m a volunteer, and I’m currently fostering another dog.

Mixed breed shelter dogs are fantastic pets!

I know I’ll get thumbs downed, but I got my dog for free from craigslist.com so I reccommend it. He’s wonderful and I love him.

i'd have to go with the first persons answer. sheler puppies are very cute, they dont look like any other puppy and live longer, healthier lives because most of them are mixed breeds. Plus, dont forget that for every puppy or dog that is adopted, that makes room for a new puppy or dog to have a place in the shelter so that they dont get hurt or starve or something bad like that out on the street. They are all just animals that deserve a second chance.

Remember you get what you pay for….if their cheap they are probably going to be inbred…..unhealthy….etc……buy local.

Don’t buy from over seas alot of people get ripped off ( send $$ for the dog ) but never recieve the dog.

Go to your local dog pound/ rescue there arew tonnes of dogs puppies & older that desperatlly need homes – & I gurantee they will be WAY cheaper than alot of other places

& NEVER buy pets from pet stores / pver seas or people who have lots & lots od dogs they breed contionusly – you’ll only get sick dogs !! &HUGE bills !!
