Where could I find good prices for teacup puppies?

More specifically Chihuahuas and Maltese?
I know they aren’t cheap but I won’t spend $1,000 dollars on a tiny puppy.
at the most I’ll do $500 .
If you could help that would be great, I live in the NY/NJ area so any puppy places with teacups in my range would be good. I could buy online but I prefer not too.

Thanks xoxo :)

There is no such thing as teacup size in any breed of dog. Teacup is a term used by back yard breeders to con more money out of gullible people for the runts of their badly bred litters.

If you want a quality dog out of health certified parents from ethical breeders who breed for health and temperament you’ll pay more than $500 and you won’t hear them using the term ‘teacup’ to describe the runt of the litter.

If you won’t pay more than $500 for a pup, just remember you get what you pay for. You would be better to rescue a pup or young dog from a shelter.

Don’t forget to consider the cost of vet treatment for your dog. Vets are expensive. Dogs, like humans, occasionally become sick and need vet treatment.

  1. any where it has teacup in front of toy dogs the byb/mill gets as much as they can for sickly dogs
    google breed club
research for breeders that test their dogs before breeding

  2. You won’t spend $1,000 on a tiny puppy? Well, trust me, if you get a "teacup" dog, you will be forking out tons of money at the vet throughout the dog’s lifetime (which won’t last long). They are poorly bred, sickly runts.

Both breeds you mentioned are already small. If you want something smaller, perhaps you should search for a different pet.

  4. So-called "teacups" are simply runts with health problems. Better to flush your money down the toilet.

  5. First you have to define for us what you consider a ‘teacup’ to be. Since breed parent clubs set the standards for the breeds, and none have any size varieties called ‘teacup’, you’ll have to tell what you believe that to mean. BYBs and puppy mills make up those terms. Some go so far as to misstate the actual size standard as being larger to make you believe that a puppy is actually smaller than the standard calls for. Chihuahuas are under 6 pounds, so even if one is outweighed by a paperclip, it’s still just a chihuahua. The maltese standard is 3 – 7 pounds. If you need a dog that’s under 3 pounds, then you don’t need a dog

  7. There are tons of BYB/puppy mills just Google what you want but the BYB/puppy mills charge around the same as a responsible breeder without the health guarantee.

By the way there is no such thing as a Tea Cup any breed. It is a term that the BYB/puppy mills use to sucker in people to buy their unhealthy runts with no guaranteed the dog will remain tiny.

You may not want to spend more than $500 for a pup but you have a very big chance of having to spend much more than that in vet. bills for years to come.

Research "Tea Cup" sized dogs and you’ll find out the truth about them, or I could tell you. :)

You will only find a Tea Cup by going to a B.Y.B or Puppy Mill. And they sell those dogs for a lot of money – if they don’t, that means there is something wrong with it – aside from all the normal things wrong with them – and you will be most likely paying 100s and 1,000s of dollars on Vet bills for this dog.

These dogs are small enough as it is, why would you want something SMALLER?

Bottom line: There is no such thing as a Tea Cup sized dog, they are only sickly, poorly bred runts.
