where to find teacup puppies in florida?

ive been looking all over the place to find a teacup maltese or teacup yorkie ive only found few breeders. they have perfect puppies but the price is way out of my budget. the most i am willing to pay is $900. know of any places i could find one???
please answer

There is no such breed as a teacup anything. BYB’s call their animals Teacup so they can overcharge for poor quality dogs.

If I were you I’d avoid anything with "Teacup" in the name.

  1. Don’t buy from anyone that breeds teacup dogs. These dogs are FAR more likely to have serious health issues and no responsible breeder would purposely breed runts and then sell them for a ridiculous amount of money.

  3. There is no such thing as a teacup yorkie or teacup maltese,if you get a teacup of any breed, your getting a poorly bred runt that will have health problems. No reputable breeder will sell or state that they have a teacup yorkie or maltese.

  4. "Teacup" puppies do not exist. They are poorly bred runts that have health issues. You should NEVER pay for a dog that is smaller than the breed standard. Anyone advertising "teacups" is operating or supporting a puppy mill. If you visit it, you can see the piles of dead dogs that are the result of trying to get your poor-health "teacup" puppy.

  5. sorry no such thing – what these "breeders" claim are "teacup" are really the runts of the litter. The word "Teacup" has been used to merely describe the size of a puppy, meaning it is very small and will probably be under the standard size which is 4 to 7 pounds for the Toy Group, Yorkshire Terrier breed. Why would anyone want anything smaller than that! Their bones are VERY fragile and can be broken by jumping off of a couch, falling off of a bed, being stepped on or worse.

Many breeders, while tacking a whooping price on a puppy, "claim" to breed so called "teacups" as if they were a breed all their own. Don’t be fooled! They are NOT a breed of their own.

Stick with the breed standard size and you would have a more well adjusted and healthier pet who will live longer then 2 years of age.

Agree with all the posts. Find a REPUTABLE breeder that will NOT tell you there teacup and if you really want a smaller than usual pup from that breed get the smallest from the litter. Make sure they are AKC registered and pedigreed. Only BYBs tell you there teacup. Just no such word, oh and designer dogs is also something only BYBs do. Don’t fall for those.

  8. Please dont encourage them. Mutts are perfect dogs and the dogs at pounds/kill shelter need a home, and some of them are so tiny. Please rethink your perfect dog requirements.

"teacup" is a scam label to sell poorly bred, sickly runts for a huge price tag. NO legit breeder, breed club, kennel club or registry recognizes or uses this term.

  12. A “teacup” dog is not a breed. It is basically a runt of the litter which is poorly bred by backyard breeders. A backyard breeder is a irresponsible breeder which breeds dogs for a profit, a responsible breeder would breed dogs to improve the breed not destroy it. Most so called “Teacups” are sickly and prone to health problems. Due to their small size, they will have weak and fragile bones. Some “teacup” dog owners claim to have a healthy dog however, most have several complaints. They are basically scams. Just because these puppies are cute doesn’t mean they are healthy. If you love dogs and don’t want to support bad dog breeding, please don’t ever buy a “teacup.”

  13. go to an ethical breeder instead. anyone selling "teacup" anything is nothing more than a scummy backyard breeder. Try http://www.petfinder.com and search by breed and zipcode.
